Anni Perheentupa is a Finnish writer and editor who fell in love with English when she read Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones in its original language as a child. She graduated from University of Helsinki with a BA in English in 2014, and soon after moved to the US to further her studies — and to get married. She now pursues an MA in English at San Diego State University, with an emphasis in her first true literary love: children’s and YA literature. She has a particular passion for fantasy and fairy tales.
Alicia Hernandez is a full-time student at San Diego State University with an internship as a Content Creator at a social networking platform known as Odyssey. She is currently working to obtain her BA in English with a certificate in Creative Editing and Publishing. She enjoys writing about subjects she is interested in, from topics ranging from health, diet and beauty to entertainment, technology and current events. She also has a passion for writing creative short stories, both fictional and nonfictional.
Sydney Sweeney is a 20-year-old writer, student and hopeless romantic from the Greater Los Angeles Area. She vicariously read the sincere stories of characters created by Judy Blume and Lauren Myracle as a pre-teen, and today, much of her writing is influenced by
her ever-expanding curiosity in youth culture. After she graduates from San Diego State University with a BA in Journalism, Sydney intends to put her Creative Editing and Publishing minor to use at a lifestyle magazine focused on arts and culture. She can be found at a coffeehouse, indie show or public library in search of a gripping and passionate YA love story (her favorites are If I Stay, Eleanor & Park, and Everything, Everything).
